The Media Strategist role at VideoEgg is a rare opportunity to work within a progressive strategy department in a dynamic job role designed to embed in-market strategic thinking and drive over-arching strategic company direction. The ideal candidate is open-minded, highly self-motivated, digital media savvy, and comfortable with the demands of a dynamic and fluid position supporting various departments throughout the company. This is for our New York based office.
The primary function of the Strategist is to embed strategic conversation and thinking throughout sales process, driving product and supporting internal departments as necessary. The role is compromised of three core competencies:
1. Provide in-market sales and proposal strategy in support of your respective (and surrounding) markets
2. Respond strategically to market demand through re-active assignments from sales and management
3. Drive holistic company strategy through proactive project-based initiatives (as defined by strategy team)
Responsibilities
• Drive strategy for proposals with high yield potential as prioritized by Sales Solutions department.
• Deliver in-market support to sales executives and sales managers through active involvement on sales calls.
• Provide category and market expertise through a well-developed strategy for packaging and the creation of the value proposition for key industries in your respective (and surrounding) markets.
• Develop custom sales materials as requested by sales executives or necessitated by the market.
• Lead and support ‘projects’ both proactively and reactively, (ranging from special client proposals to product development, to case-studies and research), prioritized and managed by the strategy department.
• Prioritize market feedback and insights to help inform and drive business strategy moving forward
Requirements
• History of strategic media thinking and comfort in the areas of planning, research, analytics, and creative.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills - both verbal and written – personality is a must.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, projects and ever-changing priorities.
• Self-motivated with an acute sense of urgency necessary to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
• Open-minded team player eager to learn and grow professionally.
• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years relevant digital media experience required.
